Well, pictures themselves say things. . .

Saying you don't have anything to say that I haven't heard before makes me think of something my teacher said today. Paintings, he said, can never really be new. It's really all been done before. We often come back to the place we've started. But, he said, the process is often fascinating because it's just always put together in new ways. We can understand paintings made centuries ago because they connect us, but then they are so very different in the way that they are made. But nothing is really new, because it's all the same. . . very confusing, but my point is that sometimes we have to keep saying something to understand it and maybe even to play with it and see where it leads.
I really do have a point here and I'm not sure how to make it. :) You yourself told me to start at some place and see where it leads)))
I'm wondering. . . have you started writing your book? Or a book? I mean, really? I'm just asking because I've mainly read ideas that you've sent me. . . kind of like freewrites. . . and I'm wondering what it would be like if you sat down for an hour or two and just wrote, strictly, the beginning of a book. It doesn't have to be fancy, just something that you can be serious about, to feel like you're actually working on it.
maybe it's just me that tends to get caught up in ideas and not actual work in the thing I want the most. . . but I just thought maybe i'd throw that out there. . .
