The first time for everything...
I have never ever written a blog in all of my life (if I have it must have been by mistake...). As you might see from the image I am a major fan of Tolkien's world and all the immense influence it has on my creative and imaginary world...
Maybe there are some fellow Tolkien fans out there that also feel the need to marvel over this incredible world he as created... What was it that my friend called me? A completely Tolkien geek:) Hence the name of this bloggy thing:) Something very capturing about Luthien... I find her courage and her love incredible, that she loves someone so deeply that she is willing to give up her immortality for Beren... I found the name that I use on Yahoo from this story... When Beren dies and the Valar is moved by her tears to restore Beren's life... hence Luthien's tears (which of course becomes luthienstears)))...
Sweet waters and light laughter until next we meet;)
Which in Sindarin would be something like "Nîn velui a lalaith veren nalú en-agovaded vín"
I do not speak Sindarin, but picked it up at a site somewhere... Have lots of beautiful sayings in a book that I just found cleaning out a drawer))))

I didn't call you a geek. Just simply mentioned that it would be interesting to meet another tolkien fan that is even more enthused than you about it. ;)
At that festival in Vacaville, there were some really "different" people there. I mean, I'm all for different. But being hermitish, it was slightly culture shock.
I mean, there were some Star wars fans there and they were talking about their daughter and how she "didn't have the force yet."
I have to admit that it kind of creeped me out.
Too funny about the StarWars thing... It is listet as a religion in Great Britain I think... Like 2% or something has adopted it as a religion... But saying to your child that the force isn't with you yet!?!??! There certainly are so strange people walking around on this earth (and I am not talking about your president; he's in a league of his own)...
I can't stop laughing, because it is so true. I can't stand to listen or watch him anymore, especially the way he snickers when he's making a supposedly serious speech. Oh well. Politics would make me insane, so it's best I stay out of it.
I can't believe Great Britain adopted that as a religion. That is unbelievable. . .
