The Guest House
Mae govannen!
It is so good to finally be able to say: Spring is here!!!! It is absolutely lovely! No thick wintercoats for a loooooong time! And it won't be long now before the water is warm enough to swim in. I am so optimistic now))) Strange how quickly you can forget how tedious something can be when it is over...
I have vowed that I am going to enjoy this summer!! Have lots of fun and celebrate life in all its wondrous wonders. All is good...
I am doing some spring cleaning (or trying to...). I have books everywhere, too many notebooks, and lots of paper... I don't know where to put all the books, even though I did get a new bookshelf I still have way too little room and those poor books that has been send to the attic... I think I have to send some more up there... But which one... I'm trying to think of this cleaning as cleaning out that other place where lots of things gets stored away;) My mind... Spring cleaning in the top floor)))) Don't know how well I'd do though, but it reminds me of a beautiful poem by Rumi)))
I leave you with these wise words today;) Namárië
THE GUEST HOUSE
This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they're a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honourably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whomever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

It's been downright hot here the past few days. I'm already dreading summer. :-p
I wish I could have gone to visit you this month. It just didn't seem like it was good timing. But expect something for your birthday in the mail. ;)
Cleaning is horrid. Don't bother. Dust is nice when it's patted down on everything, not when it's in the air. hehe.
I think you should post a poem on here.
One of my poems? Which one? Any requests:)
I think any one of them is wonderful. Since my old computer crashed, I lost all the poems that we did last year. But of the ones on that site you showed me, I'd say that "Awareness" fits with the spring. Or I really love "The Battle For Hope" too.
I will post some poems for you))) I can't remember that I've written a poem called awareness... Sure it isn't called something else? Or that it isn't one of your own;) You write wonderfully too!! You should put a couple of yours on your blog too!!
I thought it was called Awareness. It's under your name on that site. . .
Actually, I lost a lot of my poetry. The only stuff I have is from CSSSA and most of it is just experimental. But thanks for the compliment)))
